My friend Dan is always on the hunt for a good sale, be it online or in a store, if something is on sale, he’ll get it for the cheapest price you can get. A friend of ours is expecting so he and I have decided to get a little something something for the new baby. Dan found some amazing deals on Shopwiki.com. Shopwiki.com has some of the cutest outfits and shoes that I’ve seen in a long time.
What is Shopwiki.com you might ask? It’s a site that literally brings the sales to you. Just like Google, it scours the internet to find things that may be of use to you–but on sale. How can you beat that? I even used Shopwiki.com to find a few deals for myself 
I needed something to wear to the baby shower, didn’t I? *LOL* And I found a pair of spiffy new sunglasses as well!
My friend Mary Ann has been asked to help do some research for gifts for her workplace. You know, corporate gifts, like pen and pencil sets, mouse pads, t-shirts and promotional items, like water bottles and the like. I can see this being a bit of a problem, mainly because she works for an organization that helps the blind and vision impaired. Nonetheless, I’m always willing to help a friend.
One site I found that seems to have oodles to choose from is Promopeddler.com. Promopeddler.com has everything from cups, to bags, to pens and even beauty products. There has to be a promotional product on there that would be good for both the seeing and the vision impaired folks she comes in contact with. Perhaps a stress ball? Notebook? Promopeddler.com has tons to choose from and can definitely help Mary Ann and her organization get their name out there in a memborable way!
I’m in the market for a new microwave oven. My old one died a quiet death over the weekend. It served me well, especially considering I got it second hand. I’m at a loss without it though and the situation must be rectified immediately. If not sooner. With the economy the way it is and the price of food the way it is, money is tighter than ever. Time for me to go on a hunt.

It appears as if my apartment building is under going a mini-makeover of sorts. An apartment in building is being renovated. A brief walk through of the place last night shows an immediate transformation in the place. You can see the promise of a fresh apartment starting to appear.
The mailboxes for all 5 apartments are in the entrance way. The teenage boy living in the first apartment somehow damaged the mailboxes and we’re all having trouble getting our mail. It’s being delivered, it’s just not always possible for us to actually get IN the boxes themselves to get to mail. (Not necessarily a bad thing when all you seem to get is junk mail and bills. I’d kill for some happy mail these days!) As I came home last night, I saw a number of different brochures for various mailbox companies, including Mailboxixchange. He had marked several pages, including one for your standard apartment dwelling mailboxes. Pretty basic, I think. I’m grateful on those bad weather days when I don’t have to go outside to get my mail, just down the stairs. I got a phone call last night from Mary Ann. I haven’t been watching her boys the last couple of weeks–partially due to them calling at the last minute and me refusing to cancel any plans that I may have already made. In any case, she and her family are doing well. Her husband is loving his new job and Mary Ann is just starting to go on a job hunt. The boys? They are still the video game addicts that they were the last time I was there. Mary Ann asked me if I knew of any sites that had the best shooting games for Xbox as she wanted to get them a new game or two. I had to go on a hunt of my own, especially since I don’t have an Xbox.
One site I found that had some shooting games the boys will like is Wize.com. Wize.comhas a whole list of the shooting games that the boys love. If they can’t find something on Wize.com, then I think we’re in real trouble. There is something for everyone on Wize.com, even me. I found a few that I’d like to try if I had an Xbox.
I have a black thum. There, I said it. Whatever plant life I have in my apartment never EVER lasts for long. That doesn’t stop me from getting them though. I currently have two window boxes on my balcony outside my bedroom (very easy for me to take care of, especially with all the rain we’ve been having), a planter or two of some other low maintenance plants in my living room and a decorative planter outside my front door. It definitely helps to add a touch of hominess to my apartment.
